I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2000. I underwent Fellowship training in the management of sports injuries in 1999 at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital in Oswestry, Shropshire.  My team and I offer a comprehensive service in the diagnosis and management (operative and non-operative) of injuries of the knee and ankle. With a national network of physiotherapy partners we provide a comprehensive rehabilitation programme after injury or surgery. My main area of expertise is in arthroscopic (key-hole) treatment as well as ligament reconstruction of knee and ankle injuries.  From 2000 to-date my NHS and private practice is solely focused on the treatment of lower limb injuries in sport at all levels including Premiership football and other elite sportsmen and women.

I lecture nationally and internationally on ligament reconstruction and cartilage repair of the knee and ankle. I have published widely on the surgical management of patella instability (kneecap dislocation) and ligament deficiency of the sports injured ankle.

I do not offer a service to treat end stage wear and tear conditions (osteoarthritis) with joint replacement surgery.
